Lines and Curves is a lifestyle blog by Caroline Woodward. Her career as a stylist began in the 90′s as a crafts stylist in the bullpen of talent at Martha Stewart Living. Over the subsequent years, Caroline has styled homes for Home magazine, This Old House, Home and Garden magazine, Body and Soul, and the Domain catalog, among others. She has created hundreds of images used in catalogs and advertising for clients as diverse as Garnet Hill, Timberland boots, Marshalls, Home Goods and Home Depot.
As a mother of 2 young children and a professional woman with a career, I am constantly searching for ways to streamline my life. To cut out all the distractions and focus on what matters.
Lines and Curves is about simplicity. Simple ideas to make life at home easier and fun. Simplifying life to reduce one’s carbon footprint. Simplifying to create health and harmony in the home.
The phrase ‘Lines and Curves’ comes from my nephew. He was probably 3 or 4 at the time and had shown us a beautiful drawing he had made. We all tried to guess what it was.
“Is it a map of your town?”
“Is it a pit of snakes?”
“Is it a sea monster”
He looked at us as though we were the biggest idiots on the planet. And said: “It’s lines and curves!”
